About us

the Wyllie brand
was established
by Greg Wyllie in 1985

The core of our family run business has now been established for over 30 years. Grand Master Greg Wyllie founded Wyllie Taekwondo in 1985 on Sydney’s North Shore and became a pioneer of Martial Arts in Australia.

Greg, Steve and Chris Wyllie lead the instructor team at Wyllie Martial Arts.

Our aim is to teach quality Martial Arts. Not just to the adults of the North Shore, but also teens, kids and toddlers. We spread the power of Martial Arts – the qualities that Martial Arts develops; qualities that are synonymous with success, confidence and strength.

We consider ourselves fortunate to have made this our lifestyle and take great joy in passing this joy on to others through our classes.

the wyllie team

The Wyllie Team of instructors actively competes in Martial Arts/Boxing competitions. The team constantly strives to educate themselves on new techniques and disciplines here and abroad, adding to their Martial Arts skills base, with the ultimate goal of passing on their knowledge to the next generation of Wyllie Warriors.

Cameron Geercke

Cam enjoys boxing/kickboxing and martial arts training as an alternative to other forms of cardiovascular training.

After gaining his qualifications in chiropractic and strength and conditioning in 2015 he began training in boxing and Dutch kickboxing.

“I joined Wyllie Martial Arts in 2021 and thoroughly enjoy applying the principles of strength and conditioning to boxing”.

Cam brings a strong health focus to training and aim to promote a safe training environment where everyone can achieve their health goals like losing weight or using martial arts to rehabilitate an injury.

The biggest being that Martial Arts involves learning a series of complex skills and working within a social setting which running and weight training do not provide – Cam Geercke
